    Biography

    Samus Jay

Samus Jay is an accomplished international Dance Music Producer, DJ, Megamixer, Remixer, Mashup Artist and full-time Ghost Producer based in Melbourne, Australia. With 25+ years experience in the music industry, he has established himself as a prominent figure, particularly well known for his energetic and unique megamixes.

Samus began his career in the music industry at a young age, starting to DJ at parties when he was just 14 years old. His early experiences included performing at college functions and making appearances on 89.9 Hitz FM, a community radio station in Melbourne. His hybrid style of mixing quickly caught the attention of party-goers and event organisers. As a result, he began to play at some of the most popular venues in Melbourne, such as Silvers, QBH and Metro.

In early 2000, Samus joined a collective of DJs and producers called ‘Deep Exclusive’, which marked a significant turning point in his career. This affiliation allowed him to promote his projects and remixes more effectively, leading to interviews on various radio stations in Melbourne and beyond.

Samus then started producing his own megamixes in his unique hybrid mixing style and in 2004 the first edition of the hugely successful Ultimate 90’s Megamix series was created. His five Ultimate 90’s megamixes along with other mixes including The Ultimate Millennium Megamix and his new 90’s Eurodance Live Sessions mix shows have reached more than 12 million views on YouTube.

His remixes of other artists songs as well as his own productions and remixes have featured on numerous dance compilations and digital streaming services ever since. Samus has now had more than 216,000 streams of his songs on Spotify, showcasing his widespread appeal and the effectiveness of his music in engaging audiences.

Samus released his first solo single ‘Gonna Show You’ in 2018 and during the same year, he joined forces with DJ KCB on the single ‘Be Alright’ . In 2020 he released ‘Scream & Shout’ featuring Mikey Kay, and 2022 saw the release of numerous singles including ‘Is It Love’, a cover of Corona’s hit ‘Baby Baby’, ‘Mr Rhythm’ (a track inspired by Snap and Culture Beat’s eurodance classics) and three collaborations with Twenty 4 Seven rapper Stay-C, ‘Set You Free’, ‘Jingle Bells’ and ‘Can’t Stop’, which was the first song to be released on the Eurodance Vibes label, also featuring the vocals of eurodance legend Annerley Gordon.

March 2023 saw the release of ‘Twilight Zone’ featuring Pete D Moore and Myra Bro, which was followed a few months later with ‘Can You Keep a Secret’ featuring Kristina Safrany, ‘Brand New Day’ featuring Melody Castellari and ‘Never Give You Up’ featuring Nathalie Arts and MC Fixx It from his Nostalgia EP Vol.1 on the Eurodance Vibes label. Other 2023 releases included ‘I Have 2 Go!’ featuring Farida Merville and Christmas song ‘Deck The Halls’ featuring Stay-C and Annerley Gordon once again.

2024 has seen the release of his Nostalgia EP Vol.2 featuring a new version of Po.Lo’s 90’s italodance classic, ‘I Want You 2024’ featuring Fabio S, ‘Lose Control’ featuring Kristina Safrany and ‘Electricity’ featuring Dhany. Samus is now working on a full length album as well as other projects for the Eurodance Vibes label and his 90’s Eurodance mix shows are being syndicated to various online radio stations around the world including Ozzmixxradio.com (Australia), Diamonddanceradio.com (Hungary), jnronline.nl (Jouw 90’s Radio, The Netherlands) and the Hive at Clubnation.com.au (Australia).
